Major League Baseball Network
New 40,000 SF Building at 44 Hartz Way
Secaucus, New Jersey

Lizardos designed the MEP systems for a new 40,000sf building at 44 Hartz Way, Secaucus, NJ for MLB Network.  The new building consists of an 8,000sf  “Studio 21”, NHL Studio, Studio Support Data Center, Kitchen/Café, Fitness Center, office space, two-story elevator, and chilled water cooling system for studios and support spaces.

A new 2,000A, 277/480 V electrical service was designed in close interaction with PSEG-NJ.  Due to the time constraints to be “on-air” by opening day in April 2015, two 180 ton air-cooled redundant chillers and AHU’s were designed for the Studio, and support spaces.  The rest of the building was designed with roof-top units.  A 1,500kW outdoor diesel generator was provided in the design.  A studio support Data Center space is included and backed by a 300kVA UPS system.
